Description
Wisteria sinensis ‘Prolific’, commonly known as Chinese wisteria ‘Prolific’, is a vigorous deciduous climber celebrated for its abundant, highly fragrant flowers. In late spring and early summer, it produces spectacular hanging racemes around 30cm long, packed with soft blue-violet, pea-like blooms that open together for an impressive display. Its pinnate green foliage provides an attractive backdrop through summer before turning yellow in autumn. Ideal for training over pergolas, arches and strong supports or against sunny walls, ‘Prolific’ is an outstanding choice for creating dramatic height, fragrance and seasonal colour in the garden.
