VITIS Grape Merlot 15cm
Description
Vitis vinifera ‘Merlot’, commonly known as grape ‘Merlot’, is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine renowned for producing the dark blue-black grapes used to make rich, smooth red wines. It develops attractive lobed green foliage and clusters of small grapes that ripen from late summer into autumn in warm conditions. Best grown in a sunny, sheltered position with plenty of warmth, ‘Merlot’ can be trained against a south- or west-facing wall, along a trellis or under glass. With its ornamental foliage and productive habit, it is an excellent choice for gardeners interested in growing a classic wine grape at home. Supplied in a 15cm pot.
