Tulipa ‘Pink Diamond’ is a single late tulip producing spectacularly large and charming, rosy-pink to Clear, pale pink, cup-shaped flowers with a slight wave, almost gleam in the spring sunshine. A well-established variety. Their large, showy, cup-shaped blossoms have for centuries been associated with beauty and elegance. A perennial bulb with broadly lance-shaped green leaves.
Tulips are best planted in free drained, good quality, fertile, moist soils. Look for a position of full sun, place preferably protected from strong winds. Tulip bulbs can be planted from September onward but a latter planting in October and November is recommended as the cool soils reduce the chance of pests and diseases. Expect ‘Pink Diamond’ blooms to emerge and flower between April and May.
These delightful spring flowering bulbs are ideal for pots and will be a welcome addition to most borders, in combination with conifers and flowering shrubs.
