The pure white petals of ‘Hakuun’ – meaning ‘white cloud’ in Japanese – are reminiscent of pillowy, cumulus clouds billowing against a blue sky. This tulip has large, pure white flowers with an occasional pale yellow glow over the midrib of the petals. This impeccable variety boasts giant flower heads, perched on extraordinarily long stems, and compact, broadly lance-shaped green leaves.

Flowers are produced in mid-spring, (April to May). Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist. Reliably perennial, this Darwin Hybrid will re-emerge year after to grace your garden with its soft, pearlescent glow.
