ACER Trompenburg 19cm
Description
Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg' is a striking Japanese maple valued for its elegant form and rich, deeply coloured foliage. This deciduous shrub or small tree produces narrow, seven-lobed leaves with distinctive recurved margins, emerging deep red-purple in spring before becoming greener through summer. In autumn, the foliage turns vibrant shades of orange-red, adding warmth and seasonal interest to the garden. Reaching around 2.5 to 4 metres in height and spread, 'Trompenburg' makes an excellent specimen tree for borders, courtyards, Japanese-style gardens, or sheltered mixed planting schemes. It grows best in moist but well-drained soil and prefers a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade.
