The common bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta, synonym: Scilla non-scripta). This is the real Blue Bell from England.
Plant your Hyacinthoides non-scripta bulbs in September or October on well-drained, moist soil at a depth of 10cm. They will flower the following April to May with stems reaching up to 30cm tall, each bending at the top where several single bells of sweetly perfumed violet-blue flowers dangle softly.
Not only will you see these dreamy blue blooms every year, but there will be more of them each time. Plants spread to 10cm each and will naturalise easily amongst other spring bulbs in an informal woodland planting scheme.
